Horrible GasCubby/Fuelly Upgrade September 2016

ZERO STARS -- Do yourself a favor and do not update from the old GasCubby. If you update your data will be deleted and unrecoverable and the Fuelly app wont work if you can get it to run. In addition, every app developer wants your data in their cloud and wants your email address to have a relationship with you. Screw that. I used GasCubby for _years and have now deleted Fuelly and will go back to pen and paper which has worked for thousands of years.

Wish I could go back

Ive been using this app for years. It has been reliable and easy to use. Ever since the last update to this "new UI" its absolutely horrible. All of the information that was in the previous version, when migrated over, was duplicated and skewed. For example the parameters for the reminders that I had set up individually, were all changed. If I had a mileage interval of 50,000 miles it translated that into 50 months. If this is your first time downloading the app and starting from a blank slate you may be OK. But for those of us whove been using this for years, not so much.

So convenient

Been using this app for sometime now. Always been easy to use, helpful and convenient. This recent upgrade stumbled a bit but the developers have been helpful, conscientious to resolve the unexpected problems. The interface is quite different. Took a little getting use to but now I find it so much better than the previous versions. Go for it. Youll appreciate you did.

New Version works fine for me.

My beef with this App is that its virtually impossible to enter historical data. If youre tracking gas and repairs from the day you purchase it. You wont have any issues and I find the interface easy to use too. Several updates have been issued since the new app was released addressing many initial issues.

Love this app.

I love all the stats that Gas Cubby provides me. Easy to use and useful when evaulating vehicle expenses.

Free version wont send data to paid version

App is fine but I only purchased it to be able to send info stored in free version to the paid app. I completed purchase through app and then it wasnt comparable because this company updated the paid version and hasnt yet updated the free version so they currently wont recognize each other. A waste of money.

Great app

Works great for keeping track of my auto expenses and fuel milage. Will there be an update with selectable dates so we can see a selected dates window for milage/costs?

Great App

I been using this app for many years with about 3 different vehicles. really helps me maintain my maintenance schedules on my vehicles. Great App

Better with some room to grow

Didnt bring all of the time savings tricks forward to the new version. When they do, it will be much better.

Downgrade

Ive used gas cubby for many years, this update is really a downgrade. The UI is not very friendly to impute data, especially when on a motorcycle. Stats pages show way less data than before, also I miss the ability to filter log entries by date, not just the default setting that the app has, that was useful to see how good gas mileage I got while on a trip. I hope there are more updates to fix these issues.

Love it!

Ive used this app for years. I love the new interface. Thanks!

Forced to update... dont like it one bit

I have been using Gas Cubby for 5 years religiously tracking my gas mileage and any maintenance. Now they have updated to an entire new interface that isnt as useful and affected my old data. Cant say Im happy. If you are a new user all may be well. But whos to say how long until they update again and your data will be compromised. Ill just have to manipulate my data to manage with their new calculations or deal with the inaccuracies... guess taking care of loyal users doesnt matter anymore.

Works Well

Takes a minute to work thru all adjustments but has given back great long trip data like mileage, cost per mile, etc. Should be great value at tax time for multi vehicles.

Awesome

Such a great app! I use it all the time!

Clone of Gas Tracker

I had been a Gas Cubby user since the app came out. When it was sold to Fuelly, I was concerned but waited patiently for years for them to post an update. Finally in Oct. 2015 I went through the painful process of porting my data over to Gas Tracker, as Gas Cubby failed to work correctly for me. While their other app worked well, there were a few features and elements to the old UI that I missed. When they announced that they had finished their reimplemenatation of Gas Cubby, I was hoping they had kept those old features and updated the app. Apparently they didnt take that route. If there is any differences between this and Gas Tracker, I cant find them. THEY ARE THE SAME APP. I honestly dont know why they are two different named versions for the same thing. Is it their way to migrate all the old Gas Cubby users over? I guess Ill stick with Gas Tracker for now since its stable and theres litterally no difference in use.

Useless

Will not allow import of data from the FREE version.

Good update

Finally an update that doesnt completely ruin the UI! Still very easy to input fuel-ups and service (love the new location feature for this). I have all my service reminders in GasCubby since I bought my car 4 years ago and they all moved over no problem. Thanks for the great update!

Your Location on Their Servers

Disaster of a privacy policy. They will not allow you to keep any of your data locally. All information including personally identifiable information and location tracking data must be kept on their servers. They will not even allow you to look at your data without logging in. If you try to export your data, they will not allow it and will only send you a link to look at your data on their servers. Now go ahead and take a look at their privacy policy. I dont think Ive ever seen a privacy policy quite like this one. You agree to let them sell personally identifiable information to any company that might buy them in the future. You also agree to let them or any of their partners market to you based on personally identifiable information, location data, etc. A few ads is ok, as the developers need to make money, but this level of selling information and marketing is just greedy. Im surprised that policy is allowed on the app store. Fuelly bought the old gas cubby, deleted it, and used the name for their own app. If you liked gas cubby, do not upgrade. If youre just now looking for a gas/repairs tracking app, Id suggest that you keep looking. There are a couple of decent ones.

Its working great!

Great app, keep the updates coming on a regular basis. Thanks!
